But a lot has happened in between, that is way we decided to produce one more issue in which we are presenting the ATRIUM pilot actions in four different countries. As we already said this is not the end. ATRIUM - PILOTING IN BULGARIA by Zhenya Aleksandrova
The pilot experience of the project “ATRIUM – Architecture of Totalitarian Regimes of the XX Century in Urban Management” took place during 01-03 of September 2013 in Dimitrovgrad, Bulgaria. The program included numbers of events - exhibitions, concerts, performances and workshop. The theme of ATRIUM has been also approved as the theme of the European heritage days for Bulgaria 2013 by the Ministry of culture.
FINAL DISSEMINATION EVENT IN GREECE by Christos Emmanouilidis, Vassilis Koniordos and Stefanie Leontiadis
Several meetings both physical and via other communication means (phone, skype) were held to plan this event. The final planning meeting was organized at the Municipality of Thessaloniki premises on the 10th of July 2013. It was decided that in order to maximize the event impact, it was appropriate to organize the event as a synergy of different Cultural Routes and other initiatives. The final event took place in Thessaloniki from 27 until 29 September 2013.

In the ATRIUM cooperation two Hungarian partners are presented: the Széchenyi István University in Győr and the Municipality of Győr. Closing the project the Hungarian partners organized an event series called „Our Architectural and Cultural Heritages from the 20th Century”. The program aimed to demonstrate how much interesting relations could be found in Győr in the subject of ATRIUM (Architecture of Totalitarian Regimes of the XXth Century in Urban Management). Programs were not concentrated only to the architecture. Several events presented the effects of the totalitarian regimes in the other segments of the culture (e.g.: theatre, fine arts, movies, culture history).
PILOT ACTION IN FORLI ATRIUM AND FESTIVAL OF '900 by Maria Maltoni, Conselor for Tourism, Municipality of Forli and Patrick Leech, Counselor for Culture and International Relations, Municipality of Forli
Forlì is a member of the Art Cities of Emilia Romagna because of the various monuments dating from different periods as well as the art works that can be founder in the city. With the conclusion of the ATRIUM project and the presence of Forlì within the European Cultural Route of the Architecture of Totalitarian Regimes in Urban Memory, the question arises as to how this historical and architectural legacy can be made into an opportunity.
ATRIUM-ARCHITECTURE OF TOTALITARIAN REGIMES OF THE 20TH CENTURY IN EUROPE'S URBAN MEMORY” ASSOCIATION by Ognjen Tomic
To promote and manage the ATRIUM Cultural Route the ATRIUM Association was founded in June 2013 by the partners of ATRIUM project, financed under the South East Europe. The project highlighted a key element of twentieth-century European history: the cultural heritage and memory associated with totalitarian regimes and their particular architectural legacy.
